Busy Bee Baby Basics is a darling online shopping stop for mommies and their babies. I recently came across this cute little shop while searching for unique room decor for my son, Brice. I'm remodeling his bedroom so I started checking out all the impressive items for sell! I thought this shop was just to great to not share with my readers and fellow-mommies! I chatted with the owner/designer of Busy Bee Baby Basics and she happily agreed on letting me host a review and a giveaway for my special readers! Sadly, the official website is currently down. I interviewed Ericka, the owner of Busy Bee Baby Basics to find out a little more about her shop for my readers...

Q. Where did your inspiration come from for starting your own shop?

A. My daughter. I started making her clothes and blankets and such. It was so much fun. I always wanted my own business and family and friends encouraged me to try to turn my creations into a profit.

Q. How did you come up with your shop's name, Busy Bee Baby Basics?
A. My daughter is a busy little bee! Always doing something!


Q. Are all your items handmade?
A. Everything is handmade by myself, in my home. I prewash all the fabric, and I have no pets.

Q. Do you accept custom orders?
A. Yes I do. If a customer sees something but wants to alter it I work with them to assure they get exactly what they want. I've even gone out to find a certain color/print of fabric for a customer! Custom orders take about 2-3 weeks, depending on the item while my other items take about 1-2 weeks to make and ship.


Q. Is Busy Bee Baby Basics just an online shop?
A. For now I am only online. We are a Navy family and right now it is easier to have an online shop. I hope to someday have a brick and mortar shop! I currently carry very little inventory, but am working on a surplus and have been thinking about doing some trunk shows!


Q. What makes your items unique?
A. Everything is handmade and 100% customizable! I try to find fun fabrics and prints and am always attempting something new! I'm working on a few new projects that I am going to try to implement into my shop. I also try to keep my prices down. This doesn't mean that I do not sell quality items, but I have children and I know how expensive boutique items are! I try to buy fabric in larger quantities and on sale. I also work on different ways to make items to cut down on material waste and man hours.

 

I was sent over one of the floor cushions from Busy Bee Baby Basics for review.  These comfy personalized floor cushions are made from a super soft fleece of choice.  The outer cover is removable for easy washing.  My son wanted his floor cushion to match his room of course, so I choose a solid orange fleece with his name in black.  I was so excited when we received his floor cushion in the mail!  This cushion truely is extremely comfortable and snuggly!  My son loves it, along with my youngest son, Brinner, haha.  I've attached a few photos below of Brice with his floor cushion.
