Tropical Traditions was kind enough to send me this wonderful Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil for review! I figured the coconut oil could only be used in place of cooking oil--it wasn't until I started reading more about this product until I found out it's multi-functions. The Coconut Oil can also be used as a skin softener and to help reduce the appearance of scars. This pure and natural Coconut Oil is picked from the finest coconuts in the rural areas of the Philippines. Tropical Traditions, a small owned business, then very carefully tests, produces, and packages this Coconut Oil along with many more products they carry. I tested the Coconut Oil for cooking tonight. I used it for frying french fries. The first thing I noticed was the scent. It smelled so clean & fresh, reminding me of the beach & suntan lotion. Mmmm! This was a wonderful replacement to the usual scent of cooking oils! When the fries were finished cooking, I placed them on a paper towel on a glass plate. I instantly noticed that they were NOT greasy unlike every other time I fry food! Incredible! The french fries tasted great! They were very crisp and not a bit "greasy"! I love this Coconut Oil! I would highly recommend this product over the usual vegetable and cooking oils! I still can't get over the fabulous scent!
